Mitchell Schorr is one of the best-known urban mural artists in the world having painted 3-d murals in and around many of NY City’s parks for more than a decade.
His murals have been featured on NY1’s New Yorker of the Week, Fox 5’s Good Day NY, and in the movie New York I Love You, starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Christie. His is mostly known for his work "Da Race” Murals. Some of his works are as big as 4 blocks and as high as ten story buildings. He produced more than 10 pieces in Detroit where he was commissioned to paint "Da Race" on the Riverfront, on one of the most renown building in the city -The Renaissance centre and GM headquarter.
Some of his work has been purchased by the Detroit Institute of the Arts (DIA) and is now part their permanent collection.
Mitchell’s repertoire goes well beyond the “Da Race” work. Notably his “Porn Stars” series which is now on the streets of New York (pictures below) and is attracting a lot of notoriety. He recently was featured in the reputed Nakid Magazine - Issue IV: Winter 2016 edition.
